Gorehounds Unite!

Kimmy is a shy teenager who is desperately trying to fit in with the "it" crowd. She is convinced to attend a ditch party with her preppy "friends." On their way to the party the preppy teens accidentally hit a woman. They attempt to hide the body but are caught by a group of gangsters. The teens are subsequently assaulted and tortured. Kimmy is violently raped, humiliated and left for dead by the group of degenerate gangsters. In her now demented, psychotic state, Kimmy begins to seek revenge on the gangsters one by one. This film WILL offend EVERYONE, regardless of sex, color, or creed.

I just want to admit to everyone that on this film I am guilty of judging a book by it's cover.......By the title of this film I expected one of those lame ass Leprachaun in the Hood, Zombiez type of Ghetto Hip Hop Horror films. Boy was I ever wrong!

 I also want to warn all people who are looking at actually picking this film up or seeing it on the Convention circuit. This is mature horror to the max.....If your easily offended or have a touchy stomach then you need to steer clear of this film as it will have you standing in the protest line within the first half an hour. However if your looking for a new breed of truly brutal horror film......Read on!

 The film starts off with a quick shower scene which starts the movie off on the right foot as were soon introduced to a few of the other characters.....One of which we meet screwing a guy quite graphically in the mens room stall (this is just a glimpse of the perversity thats to come later)..... The film goes through its paces for about the first half n hour or so which is the weakest part of the movie (both in performances and in shooting) but then were introduced to a group of gang members who have pulled our main characters into a scheme that involves quite the set-up just to rob them. The group is quickly drawn into this gang's scheme....the group of gangbangers is lead by the strange but likable Psycho. Soon the robbery attempt leads to much much more than either group ever could have even imagined.

 This is the point of the film that really shines......At this point the performances turn solid and the offensive images and themes really start to soar. And when I say offensive, I really mean OFFENSIVE! The filmmakers arent lying when they say that there is something in this film to offend EVERYONE and ANYONE! It's an equal opportunity offender, and anyone who watched the film will see exactly what I mean.....Theres everything from Boobs and Full Frontal Nudity to Abortion and Sexual organ mutilation, In other words something for everyone!

 It's also at this point that the actors show their true acting chops as the performances of Cydne Schulte as Kimmy (this is one talented and amazingly beautiful women I'd love to see become a regualr in the horror genre) and Antonio Royuela as Psycho really start to shine through and show that they have a real future in acting and even the Hollywood scene. You also notice that director Terrence Williams really has an eye for the camera by this point as he frames the scenes well and makes them seem even more brutal than it really is. I hope to see more from him in the near future as he really seems to have a handle on the genre as well as filmmaking in general. The things this guy could do on a bigger budget excites me.

 Now that weve touched on the elements of this film that I loved I do want to point out a few things I'd like to see the director take to make that next big step in the right direction. Abandon the handheld camera on any other type of film as it works well on this film to give it that reality that a handheld has but is far to overused and I would have like a few more static shots to break up the handheld feel. I also have to say the music used for the film really sounded like it was just stock soundtrack music. And finally the effects seemed to be really unbalanced and cheap in the beginning half of the film and toward the last 45 minutes the quality of the effects became quite brutal and amazing for a small film. I know these are all gripes that were more than likely as a result of the budget and they didnt detract too much from the film but if these things are trimmed up it could have shot this film to classic status.
