Gorehounds Unite!

BROKEN Overview:

a gun blast, a flash of light, and a young woman awakens to the comfort of her own bed. Bonnie Clayton has it all, a great relationship, a challenging career, and the burden of a dream that grows more vivid and disturbing with eavh passing night. But when bonnie is abducted by a sadistic stranger and his colorful entourage, she discovers that the key to her survival lies within the familiar realms of her recurring dream.

The first thing I need to say about this film is that is was shot for the very low budget cost of only $8,000. The really amazing thing about this is the fact that not only does it look like it had a budget of at the least $500,000, it also feels like a film with that amount of money behind it. Everyone involved in this film obviously loved what they were doing and believed in the project as everything from the acting, the production values, and even the special effects and visual effects are top notch. The stuff they did in this movie couldnt be done in Hollywood for any less than a $1.5 million dollar budget......And I doubt it would turn out this good even if they did. Most Indy films are just rehashes of whats popular on the big screens at the time but Alex Ferrari takes us to a mostly unseen area with truley original works of fiction.

 The film has a very Matrix meets Reservoir dogs with a dash of Desperado mixed in for good measure. This may sound strange but it really really works. Everything in the film feels like it all fits together like hard but rewarding jigsaw puzzle.
